Winter Nurseries
Winter nurseries leverage the opposite season in the Southern Hemisphere to accelerate breeding cycles. By utilizing off-season, you can achieve two breeding cycles (or seed multiplication cycles) in a single calendar year, effectively doubling the pace of development. This practice is a proven way to speed up go-to-market timelines for new technologies. About Us
MG Ag Consulting is led by agronomist and founder Meir Gadisman. Our consulting team is composed of hand-picked, seasoned professionals, each with 15 to 30 years of experience in the agriculture, biotechnology, and ag-tech industries. Our collective expertise includes successful partnerships and projects with seed companies, biotech firms, and food technology companies.
We work with a wide range of crops, including soybeans, corn, canola, cotton, field peas, safflower, and more. Our projects have taken us across the United States—from the Midwest to the Northern Plains and Mountain States—and into Canada’s Prairie Provinces. We also manage counter-season and winter nursery programs in Chile, Argentina, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii, giving us a truly global reach.
Many of our clients are startups or mid-sized companies that are new to developing agricultural products. This is where our meticulous planning, attention to detail, and strong execution make a critical difference.
